The BEST WESTERN Manor House Hotel is committed to working in a sustainable way. We aim to conduct our business in a responsible manner, reducing the overall impact that we have on the environment.

The Hotel will raise environmental awareness and understanding with all employees, customers, suppliers and the general public. We have established a ‘Green Team’ that comprises of staff members from across the business to lead and implement new ideas and working practices. In September 2011 we achieved a Silver Award through the Green Tourism Business Scheme and we are continually working to improve our green credentials.

Responsible Visitor Charter

Help us to help to save the planet

The BEST WESTERN Manor Hotel has recently joined up with the Green Tourism Business Scheme in order to support a green business relationship.

Our aim is to substantially reduce waste to landfill, reduce our energy consumption pro-rata by 25% by 2015and so reduce our carbon footprint.

We already have energy efficient light bulbs where ever possible in existing fittings throughout the hotel. We have introduced recycling for all glass, cardboard, paper, plastics, food waste, used cooking oil, light bulbs and batteries. As a business we are continually striving to reduce our carbon footprint. Should you have any suggestions on how we can improve upon our policies please talk to a member of staff.
